Ariel and Valeria offer food photography workshops in Canada and the United States via theilluminatedtable.ca. They wanted a design that enhances their images instead of distracting from them. I customized their contact forms to offer visitors the option of weighing in on the location of the next workshop.
To streamline their promotional efforts, I created a professional Facebook page. To track their visitors, I implemented Google Analytics, Mixpanel and Facebook via Google Tag Manager, including audience segmentation and goal funnels.
“You have this weird thing on your website”
I built my first website as part of the photography program, but the website course itself was outdated. It was made in HTML and JQuery and I had some big problems that I couldn’t fix for months. More and more people kept telling me “You have this weird thing on your website.” So I decided to start again from scratch.
Creating the website was not complicated at all
Kai made the whole process very simple and easy. On my old website, I tried to figure out how to add a blog and it just didn’t work. In the end, I would have to click to another site where the blog is. Now it’s all on one site. I like that it’s so easy to use, things like the Facebook or Instagram button. Also, to review the analytics of it and it works well with search engines.
The new website is really clean
I like the way how you scroll down and see everything about our workshops. It’s easy to navigate. The testimonial section is really good, and the frequently asked questions as well. And I like the things Kai added, for examples the newsletter and notifications for our workshops.
Everything is there
We haven’t got any questions from participants that we haven’t addressed. I mean we get questions, but they are all very specific. Following Kai’s advice, we take note of the ones we haven’t answered already, to add them to the website later on.
It makes our business look established
Our business looks properly set up and not like a one-time thing. It’s clear that our workshops are recurring as opposed to something we just do once. It gives our workshops way more credibility and makes participants more confident in their choice. With the new website, our next workshop sold out in 48 hours!
I definitely recommend Kai as a website developer.
